Why We Built This

Most AI agent pilots never reach production — and the most consistent trait of the ones that do is a named owner. Someone whose job it is to pick the use cases, own the governance, and answer for the results. Most companies deploying agents today don't have that person, don't know what to pay them, and don't know how to tell a real operator from a slide deck.

HeadOfAgents exists to close that gap. We find, vet, and place the person who owns your agents — full-time, fractional, or done-for-you through vetted implementation partners — and we publish the data the category runs on.

What we do

• Vet agent leadership. Every member of the Verified Heads of Agents network passes a public bar: agents shipped to production, reference checks, and a practical assessment. The standard is public.

• Publish the data. The Hiring Index tracks agent-leadership job postings monthly; our salary and adoption pages carry dated, sourced numbers — never guesses.

Neutrality rules

• Candidates never pay. Listing and verification are free. There is no paid tier for the supply side and no pay-to-rank, ever.
• Revenue is demand-side only. Companies pay for audits, matches, and placements — outcomes, not visibility.
• The curator is never in the shortlist. The person who runs the vetting never appears in the network or in a shortlist. Full details in our disclosures.
